LOVE THE PHOTOS, BEAUTIFUL AND EVOCATIVE. HOW FORTUNATE YOU ARE TO LIVE CLOSE ENOUGH TO SPEND TIME IN THE PLACES THAT ARE SUCH A PART OF YOUR LIFE. I'M IN CALIFORNIA, MIGHTILY FRUSTRATED IN MY DESIRE TO ROAM THE AREAS MY OWN GR-GRANDFATHER SERVED DURING THE CIVIL WAR!
JUDI
Thank you Judi. If you have a specific area, battlefield, or monument that you'd like to see, let me know and I'll see if I can post a picture or two for you.

I'VE TRIED A COUPLE OF TIMES TO RESPOND TO YOUR AUG. 13 COMMENT BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM TO SHOW UP SO FAR.
SO AGAIN...MY GR-GRANDFATHER WAS IN TENNESSEE & MISSISSIPPI FROM SHILOH TO THE END OF THE WAR, SO HE WASN'T IN YOUR "NECK OF THE WOODS". BUT THANK YOU FOR THE OFFER.
ALSO, FOUND "GETTYSBURG IN THE SNOW" AND WAS ENJOYABLY TRANSFIXED ON A VERY HOT, SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA DAY. WHAT FUN!
JUDI
Well Judi, today's post is in your honor. (See Thursday, August 24, 2006)
