Loss of the Innocents
An all too common image from a 19th Century Cemetery plot, Civil War era families knew the reality of death before the onset of war. This grave marker honors the memory of a family's 6 month old child.
Respectfully,
Randy

You're not just an artist with words! This just stopped me in my tracks. There is just something about that cold blanket of snow...intensely poignant. Makes me think of General Shermans baby son dying never having been seen by his father because of the war. Their 9 year old son Willy had died just 1 year and 2 months before.
